Drama and intensity in Race 3

With its gruelling challenges, The Amazing Race Asia Season 3 promises intense action and drama.

Prepare yourself for more drama and heart-pumping action as AXN brings you The Amazing Race Asia Season 3.

It is said to be the toughest race ever as the teams will be experiencing a harder journey and intense challenges.

Close to 19 million viewers across Asia tuned in to this award-winning reality travel competition last season.

The third instalment of the Asian edition promises more excitement from the contestants. It also has the highest number of family ties compared with the previous seasons.
Geared up for the challenge are 10 teams from Malaysia, India, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Korea and the Philippines.

The Malaysian contestants are model and TV host Bernie Chan who teams up with her brother Henry and actress Ida Nerina who teams up with Tania Khan.

“The main thing is to be physically fit because you have to run with a backpack that weighs 10kg,” says 39-year-old Bernie.

For Ida and Tania, the hardest challenge is packing light, as neither have backpacked before.

“I found a big bag of sweets, a story book and a copy of Hello! Magazine inside Tania’s backpack,” jokes Bernie.

“I think we did pretty good since we usually have people carrying our bags when travelling,” said Tania.

This time, it would be different as many of the contestants are not used to the demands of high adventure.

With beauty queens, model and actors joining up for this highly anticipated programme, viewers would be seeing many dramatic and funny moments, meltdowns and actions.

Actor/host Allan Wu, 36, returns as host of The Amazing Race Asia Season 3.

The winning team stands to win US$100,000 (RM350,000).

The Amazing Race Asia Season 3 premieres on Thursday on AXN (Astro channel 701) at 9pm.
